Easy as ABC for Kennedy House pupils in Spelling Bee Competition
Pupils from Kennedy House have recently won a highly competitive Inter-School Spelling Bee competition held at Kennedy House School. Pupils from Year 3 to Year 7 from Kennedy House, ISM Arusha and St Constantine’s competed in the knock-out spelling tournament, with participants required to spell out words in front of a large audience, facing elimination if they misspelt a word.
In addition to picking up the team title, Kennedy House also produced a number of winners and runners-up in the individual year group competition. Congratualtions to Harry, John and Ben (year group winners) and Ayanna and Lindsay (year group runners-up).
Francis Charters, Head at Kennedy House, was delighted her pupils’ performance. “For the last few weeks, all children in Years 2-7 have been concentrating on their spellings and competing to represent the school in this tournament. The fact that our team has been so successful is a reflection of the hard work of all of our staff and pupils.”
