The curriculum of Kennedy House International School is based on the English National Curriculum which has been tailored enhanced to meet the needs of our diverse cohort.
Essentially, this means that in addition to the core curriculum, there are opportunities for our pupils to study Swahili, to learn about the culture, history and geography of Tanzania.
The English National Curriculum is organised into blocks of years called ‘Key Stages’ (KS). Each Key Stage is divided into separate Year Groups. to see which Year Group and Key Stage your child would fit into, please refer to the table below.

The curriculum of Kennedy House International School is based on the Cambridge Primary and Lower Secondary curriculum which has been tailored to meet the needs of our diverse cohort. This allows us to offer your child an internationally recognised benchmark at Primary and Middle levels which does not ignore our context as a globally-conscious international school.

Our school is committed to developing the future leaders of Tanzania and as such, in addition to the core curriculum, there are opportunities for our pupils to study Swahili, to learn about the culture, history and geography of Tanzania.
The Cambridge Primary and Lower Secondary curriculum is split into 'Stages' which correspond with the year groups present in the English system. A simple breakdown of these year groups is available below.

LAMDA Examinations
In addition to offering lessons in National Curriculum subjects, Kennedy House International School also offers students the opportunity to gain certification in Communications from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). LAMDA is a prestigious drama school which counts Benedict Cumberbatch, Richard Harris and Ruth Wilson among their alumni. Pupils studying for the LAMDA certificates develop their public speaking skills as well as their ability to comprehend and analyse a range of prose and poetry.
