CURRICULUM

Cambridge UK Curriculum partner in Tanzania
High Standards and A Passion for Learning

The curriculum of Kennedy House International School is based on the Cambridge Primary and Lower Secondary curriculum which has been tailored to meet the needs of our diverse cohort.   This allows us to offer your child an internationally recognised benchmark at Primary and Middle levels which does not ignore our context as a globally-conscious international school.

Our school is committed to developing the future leaders of Tanzania and as such, in addition to the core curriculum, there are opportunities for our pupils to study Swahili, to learn about the culture, history and geography of Tanzania.

The Cambridge Primary and Lower Secondary curriculum is split into 'Stages' which correspond with the year groups present in the English system.  A simple breakdown of these year groups is available below.

Cambridge International Examinations

Cambridge Primary is an education programme for young learners that combines a world-class curriculum, high-quality support for teachers and integrated assessment. Cambridge Primary was launched in April 2005 for Mathematics, Science and English. During Year 6 (the end of Key Stage 2) our students sit for their Cambridge Primary Checkpoint Tests which are marked externally by Cambridge examiners.
