Miss Maja Milosav
Reception Teacher

Briefly describe your career (teaching or otherwise) to date.
I stumbled into teaching around 2012 and quickly realised I’d found something that truly suited me. Since then, I’ve enjoyed teaching early years, completed my Master’s in Early Childhood Education and Child Development in 2020, and even stepped into a school management role before returning to what I love most: teaching.
Why did you choose teaching as a career and what do you try to instil in your pupils?
I love that teaching is lively and unpredictable - a true rollercoaster! I try to give my students confidence, curiosity, and the courage to make mistakes, because that’s where the real learning happens.

Apart from your classroom teaching role, what else do you get involved with at the school?
Drama productions are my absolute favourite! I’ll happily sew costumes, make props, or help backstage. Arts and crafts are my thing, so anywhere I can add a creative touch, I’m in.
In your opinion, what makes Kennedy House special?
It genuinely puts students first. That might sound simple, but it’s rare. Here, the children really do come first, and you can feel it in everything we do.

Who or what inspires you?
Adventurous, creative people, and children, of course. Their imagination and honesty are endlessly inspiring.

Tell us something that not a lot of people know about you.
I can drive a tractor, and I once worked as a zookeeper in Crete. Not everyday teaching skills, but they make great conversation starters!
