Briefly describe your career (teaching or otherwise) to date.

This is my 8th year of teaching but prior to that I spent my university holidays working in a Nursery.

Why did you choose teaching as a career and what do you try to instil in your pupils?

I absolutely love working with children as there is never a dull moment! I count it an honour to be able to play a part in their education and well-being

Apart from your classroom teaching role, what else do you get involved with at the school?

Over the past few years I have specialised in the Early Years and Creative Arts. I am passionate about ensuring every child succeeds and makes excellent progress through fostering a love of learning and a positive attitude to challenge

In your opinion, what makes Kennedy House special?

Kennedy House is a happy school where children of all ages enjoy playing and learning together. The staff are dedicated and kind.

Who or what inspires you?

I am inspired by my previous Head teacher, who was very reflective, always reading educational research and inspiring us to push our teaching forwards for the sake of the children and their future.

Tell us something that not a lot of people know about you.

Not many people know that since I was six, I have really wanted to have a Dalmatian puppy!
