Masters of English Language TEaching from Tumaini University, Makumira
Briefly describe your career (teaching or otherwise) to date.
I have been a classroom teacher for Years 1-6. I have done private tuition to adults and children at Level 1 and Intermediate
Why did you choose teaching as a career and what do you try to instil in your pupils?
I love teaching so I want to share my enthusiasm with the children. I am really passionate about children learning Swahili and my ambition is to instil a sense of confidence in their speaking skills.
Apart from your classroom teaching role, what else do you get involved with at the school?
I do some private Swahili lessons on Fridays for both beginners and intermediates. I also conduct work in the Library and I help in Pre-School.
In your opinion, what makes Kennedy House special?
The environment is lovely - all the teachers and staff members are good people. The children are very friendly and respectful.
Who or what inspires you?
The children inspire me every day because they are so good at listening, trying to understand and working hard to speak Swahili.
Tell us something that not a lot of people know about you.
